Tom
has worked for Becker for 14 years and is now one of the owners of Becker
Holding Corporation. He is currently CEO of Becker Holding Corporation and
Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is a graduate of Duke University
where he played varsity golf for four years and co-captained the team his
junior and senior years.
He served for four years on the Board of Directors of Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Oculina Bank Corporation. Tom is also a licensed Real Estate Broker.
Jeff Cusson, President/COO
Jeff
is a graduate of the University of Florida and has worked for Becker for
over 21 years. He has served as General Manager of Becker Groves, Executive
Vice President of Becker Groves and now is President and Chief Operating
Officer of Becker Holding Corporation.
Jeff has served locally on many advisory committees including Indian River Community College and University of Florida’s IFAS. Jeff is very active with First Methodist Church, holding many leadership rolls and participating in mission trips to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, Belize and the Bahamas as both team leader and volunteer.
R. Scott Hurley, Vice President/Owner
Scott
is a graduate of Lake Forest College. He started with Becker over 20 years
ago as an Assistant Grove Manager. He is currently Vice President of Becker
Groves and Becker Indian River Fruit Company. Scott is an owner of the company
and serves on the Board of Directors for Becker Holding Corporation.
Scott is a board member of the Indian River Citrus League, and has served on many industry related committees including The Citrus Administrative Committee, the Grapefruit Advisory Council and the Grapefruit Sub-Committee to the C.A.C.
Rick Hurley, Vice President/Owner
Rick
has worked for Becker for over 13 years. He has served in many capacities:
Production Manager for Becker Groves, Director of Becker Indian River Fruit
Company, and Vice President of Becker Landscaping and Irrigation. He is
one of the owners of Becker Holding Corporation, serves on the Board of
Directors, and is a Vice President of the company.
Rick is a graduate of the University of Florida. Rick has represented the
Indian River Citrus League on advisory boards to South Florida Water Management
District. He is a member of the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council
Board and a graduate of Class 3 for the Wedgworth Leadership Institute.
Walter G. Beasley, Chief Financial Officer
Walt
holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University
of Florida. As Chief Financial Officer, he directs the activities of the
Finance, Information Systems and Human Resource Departments. Prior to joining
Becker Holding Corporation in 1986, Mr. Beasley held several positions with
Piper Aircraft Corporation, including Manager of Cost Accounting and Manager
of Budgets and Financial Analysis.
Walt serves on the Executive Committee of Terra SP Group Captive and on the Board of Directors for the non-profit Florida Friends of 440.
Tom Lindsey, Real Estate Manager
Tom
is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Agriculture and has worked at Becker for over 18 years. He held the positions
of Assistant Production Manager, Production Manager, and General Manager
with Becker Groves. Tom is currently the Real Estate Manager of the Commercial
Real Estate Division of Becker Holding Corporation.
Tom is an active member in the Urban Land Institute. He is a Certified Crop Advisor, Certified Horticulture Professional and Certified Arborist. Tom has served as President of the Hobe-St. Lucie Conservancy District for the past 10 years.
Richard Borland, General Manager
Becker Groves
Richard
is a graduate of Indian River Community College. He holds an Associate of
Arts Degree in Business Management, an Associate of Science Degree in Citrus
Management and an Associate of Science Degree in Animal Science. Richard
has worked for Becker since 1988. He is currently the General Manager of
Becker Groves.
Richard holds many certifications: Certified Crop Advisor, Certified Arborist, and Certified Horticulture Professional. Richard is a member of the Florida State Production Managers Association and is a committee member for the St. John’s Water Control District.
Matt Muenich, General Manager
Becker Tree Farm and Nursery
Matt
Muenich has worked with the Becker Companies for over 15 years. A graduate
from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing
and Citrus, Matt worked for 10 years with Becker Groves, where he helped
manage over 8,000 acres of citrus. He used this horticulture experience
to help develop and manage Becker Tree Farm and Nursery.
Matt has five years experience in the ornamental horticulture and commercial landscaping industries. He is a Certified Arborist as well as a Florida Certified Horticulture Professional. Matt is an active member in the International Society of Arboriculture and the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association.
